Z'iro seldom speaks of his life back in the Golmore Jungle prior to taking to the high seas though on the rare occasion he does, he regards it with a sense of bitterness and regret, often subtly alluding to the loss of a dear friend before changing the subject all together.After forsaking a life of duty under the Green Word among his people back in Golmore, Z'iro found himself taking up residence in Limsa Lominsa, struggling to make ends meet. It was during a trip to Aleport that Z'iro, finding himself completely out of gil, signed up with a small band of seafarers shipping cargo between Aleport and Gridania.It did not take Z'iro long to settle into his new routine, he excelled in his various roles upon the small humble shipping vessel fondly named 'The Bleak Cloud'. It was not meant to last however, Z'iro often found himself at odds with the Captain, his cocky behavior more times than not drawing the ire of the ships officers. During what was intended to be a routine voyage, the ship was set upon by a large pirate galleon - cornered and with nowhere to run the crew quickly surrendered both the cargo and the ship to the attacking vessel.Z'iro, having felt since his departure from Golmore that he was meant for greater freedoms and glories jumped at the opportunity to join the crew of the large pirate galleon, a menacing ship named The Vengeful Phoenix. Life upon The Phoenix was hard and often times yielded little more than injuries and meager prizes, jumping from plunder to plunder under the oppressive rule of it's captain. The crew saw very little return upon their successful ventures, a looming dark cloud that before long began to gnaw at something deep within Z'iro, his lust for freedom and fortune had been denied once more, even here, upon what was suppose to be the very embodiment of freedom itself.As the years passed Z'iro formed long lasting friendships and strong bonds with many of the crew, rising through the ranks to the position of First Mate. It was on the very night that Z'iro took up his new station that he levied those very friendships he'd built to sow the seeds of rebellion, sending the entire vessel spiraling into a ship wide mutiny that resulted in the death of the Captain, half of the officers and one forth of the crew.It was from that day forward that Z'iro took up the mantle of Captain, carving out a new code for the ship and overhauling the crew. The Phoenix demanded success and success required the best, the bravest and the most daring, a standard he would ensure every man and woman that stepped aboard his vessel would posses.As Captain of The Vengeful Phoenix Z'iro has begun to lead his crew to many bountiful plunders, daring raids and the success they had so long been starved of. He would forge his own destiny, his own legacy upon the seas, and that legacy, was freedom.

- Z'iro is a big fan of information brokers, especially if they have news on where he might find his next big plunder.- The Vengeful Phoenix and her crew are always for hire. Have someone that needs to go missing, a shipment that needs intercepting or a high enough bounty that needs collecting? For the right price, anything can be acquired.-Z'iro is ALWAYS up for a good time so long as the venue isn't overly high class. Pubs, clubs and hole in the wall taverns close to the sea are always a good place to find him.-Smuggling is always an option, for the right price.
